Web design and SEO across York and North Yorkshire
I'm Louis, and I build websites and sort out SEO for businesses across York and the patch around it. I've been building websites for over 15 years, and I've run White Design & Media since 2014. These days AI helps me work faster, so the site that an agency would bill in the low five figures for, I'll build properly for around £2,000. This page is a quick map of where I work: York first, then the towns and villages nearby. Wherever you are, the job is the same, a fast, original website that ranks on Google and gets recommended by AI search, so you don't have to pour money into ads.

Which areas do you actually cover?
York first, then the towns around it: Harrogate, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Selby, Tadcaster, Malton, Pocklington and Easingwold, plus Leeds. If you're elsewhere in North Yorkshire, ask and we'll see if it's a fit.
Do I need to be in York to work with you?
No. Most of the build happens online, so I take on work right across North Yorkshire. Being near York just means we can meet in person if you'd rather, which some people prefer for the first chat.
Does my location change the price?
No. A New Site Build is £2,000 fixed wherever you're based. Larger projects get bespoke pricing, and new businesses on a smaller budget should get in touch so I can help within what they can stretch to.
Can you help my business rank in my specific town?
Yes, that's the whole point. I set up your Google Business Profile, connect Search Console, and write your pages around what people in your town actually search for, so you show up for local searches without paying for ads.
Why don't you have a separate page for every town?
Because Google penalises sites that mass-produce near-identical town pages, and it's no use to you either. I'd rather build one strong site that genuinely ranks across your service area than a stack of thin pages that read like spam.
